Laurie from White Lotus is incredibly triggering for me. Her character brings to the surface my deepest insecurities as a biglaw attorney.
I can’t quite put my feelings into words, but watching her makes me really uncomfortable because it resonates with certain aspects of my life, even though I’m not a woman.
Is anyone else experiencing this?

I can totally relate to what you’re saying! Laurie embodies some of those intense pressures and insecurities that many people in high-stress jobs face, regardless of gender. It’s fascinating how TV characters can reflect our own experiences so vividly. Her struggle with the demands of biglaw and the pressure to constantly perform can be triggering, especially if you see parallels in your own life. It’s tough to watch because it forces you to confront your own feelings about success, work-life balance, and the expectations placed on us. It seems like a lot of viewers find her story relatable in different ways, even if their experiences aren’t identical. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
