I’m a first year in a niche practice group that I hate. For a while I thought I hated law altogether but it’s the practice (im on the transactional side). What can I do? I don’t have anyone outside of the firm I can go to for advice.

I’m a first-year associate in a niche practice group that I’m not enjoying at all. For some time, I believed my dissatisfaction was with law itself, but I’ve realized that it’s specifically related to the transactional side of things. Does anyone have suggestions on what I can do?
