Deciding Whether to Prioritize Car Loan or Credit Card Debt Repayment
In the world of financial planning, certain dilemmas are more common than others, and one frequently debated issue is whether to pay off a car loan or credit card debt first. With a car loan balance around $26,000, I am evaluating the best strategy to safeguard my financial stability, particularly in case of unforeseen circumstances like job loss. Ensuring my vehicle isn’t repossessed is a primary concern, as having a reliable car is essential. As for the credit card debt, it is currently manageable, albeit accumulated during a challenging period prior to my diagnosis and management of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD).
Given this scenario, I’m curious about what others might suggest: should I focus on eliminating the car loan first, or tackle the credit card debt instead? Your thoughts and advice would be greatly appreciated. Please approach this with kindness and understanding.
