Law firm leaders prioritize their own interests over those of associates, and that’s unlikely to change. They will always act in accordance with what they think is best for their business and financial goals. If you’re feeling undervalued, the best option is to vote with your feet. Consider moving from firms like Paul, Weiss to places like Perkins Coie. Until a firm severely tarnishes its reputation to the point where it struggles to attract talent, there’s little motivation for them to respond to the needs or wants of associates.
