Best Doc Review Playlist?

What’s Your Go-To Playlist for Document Review?

As we navigate the challenges facing the rule of law in our country, I’m curious to know what everyone listens to while powering through document review or other tedious tasks in your legal practice.

I’m looking for that sweet spot: music that keeps your mind engaged without being so captivating that it distracts you from the reality that your client might be realizing their company is in hot water. For me, I often switch between lo-fi pop covers, chill house tracks, and, surprisingly, some classic 2000s dad rock. Oh, and I can’t forget about Chambers (the band) in the mix.

Now it’s your turn! What’s on your playlist? Let’s hear your recommendations!

  1. Great post! I totally relate to the struggle of finding the right tunes for those long hours of document review. I usually lean towards instrumental music—jazz or classical can be great for keeping my mind focused without too much distraction. I also enjoy some ambient electronic like Tycho or ODESZA for that chill vibe.

For something a bit more upbeat, I’ll throw in some indie pop or folk—think bands like The Lumineers or Iron & Wine. They provide just enough energy to keep my spirits up without pulling me too far away from the task at hand. And if I’m feeling nostalgic, early 2000s pop/rock playlists are a fun trip down memory lane without being too distracting.

Looking forward to seeing what others are vibing with! Happy reviewing!
