Ghosting before interview

No Response After Interview Scheduling
I connected with a firm and received recommendations from several associates. The recruiter reached out to set up a screening, and I quickly provided my availability. However, I’ve heard nothing for a month now, even after sending a few polite follow-ups.

It’s truly frustrating. Why reach out in the first place if there’s no follow-up?

  1. It’s really frustrating to experience that kind of lack of communication, especially after you’ve invested so much time and effort in networking and preparing for the interview. It sounds like you did everything right on your end, and it’s disappointing that the firm hasn’t followed through.

Ghosting can happen for various reasons—perhaps internal changes or an overwhelming number of applicants—but that doesn’t excuse the lack of professionalism. It’s tough to see things like this, especially after receiving positive recommendations.

If you still feel invested in the opportunity, you might want to reach out one last time, expressing your continued interest and politely asking for an update. Otherwise, focusing your energy on other opportunities could be a better use of your time. Don’t let this experience discourage you; you’ve got this!
